Dozen Other Art Fairs To Enliven Art Basel Miami

As art enthusiasts and collectors gear up for Art Basel, Miami Art Week kicks off with its signature satellite art fairs.

Beginning Dec. 4, Miami Art Week is promising to showcase a week full of world-renowned and emerging artists who are set to exhibit a diverse array of immersive, contemporary and visual art masterpieces.

Design Miami at Convention Center Drive and 19th Street in Miami Beach spotlights museum-quality exhibitions of 20th and 21st century furniture, lighting and architecture. On its 19th edition, the art fair will feature collaborations with designers and design institutions, panels and lectures from the world of design, architecture, art and fashion. Untitled Art being held on Ocean Drive and 12th Street is planning to feature over 160 international galleries. Since its debut in 2012, the fair annually selects a curatorial team to identify and select international galleries, emerging artists and non-profit organizations. This year’s edition will focus more on gender inclusive through “Gender Equality in the Arts,” which is giving opportunities for artists of all genders to participate. Art Miami at One Herald Plaza in Downtown Miami is a leading international contemporary and modern art fair. Now in its 32nd year, the fair will showcase artworks of the 20th and 21st centuries along with a selection of the world’s most respected galleries. INK Miami Art Fair at 1850 Collins Ave, in Miami Beach is a specialty fair featuring exhibitors who focus on art pieces that are on paper and prints. This year, SATELLITE Art Fair at 700 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach is presenting over 30 free-standing art installations and workshops.
